Guidelines for Driver-Specific Complaints

This article covers complaints specifically about the delivery driver's conduct — how they behaved during delivery, not the delivery outcome itself (tracking status, misdelivery, etc.). For shipment-status issues, see When Should We Process a Replacement Based on Shipping Status? instead.

Driver Conduct Complaints

Use this when the customer reports the driver's behavior:

  • Rude or unprofessional behavior (e.g., dismissive, argumentative, inappropriate language)
  • Unsafe conduct (e.g. reckless driving witnessed by the customer, trespassing)
  • Damage to the customer's property (e.g., mailbox, driveway, landscaping, vehicle, door) during a delivery attempt

What to do:

  1. Apologize for the experience. Inform the customer that we're not liable for the driver's actions.
  2. Redirect the customer to the carrier's website. You can look up the carrier's CS number or Contact Us page and share it with the customer.
  3. If there was property damage, do not promise reimbursement or repair costs. Property damage claims typically involve the carrier's liability/insurance process, not a standard CS refund.
  4. However, if the RYZE package was damaged as a result of the driver's action, follow What To Do When the Item Arrived Damaged or the Customer Reported Damage? instead.

📌 Reminder: This article is for driver-specific complaints only. For delivery execution issues (wrong location, disputed delivery, misdelivery), or general shipment-status troubleshooting (lost, RTS, no tracking movement), start with the When Should We Process a Replacement Based on Shipping Status? articles instead.
